Rio Grande Crossing Project (aka "The Garcia Property")

NEWS: The EPC approved the zoning change for this property at the July 13th meeting.

The Rio Grande Crossing Project (aka “The Garcia Property) seeks to develop about 20 acres of land owned by Edward Garcia of Garcia's Automotive Group. It is under consideration to be re-zoned for mixed-use development just north of 1-40 off of Rio Grande. North Valley neighbors are concerned about changes to the character of the area as well as increased traffic.

As described by the developer, “Rio Grande Crossing is an infill project within central Albuquerque that is envisioned as a high quality, walkable, mixed use development; grocery store, senior and mixed density housing, hotel, and other low impact commercial uses are the goal."

WOTNA has compiled many documents related to this project to better inform our neighborhood association members and the community at large.  Please see the following links to download documents.
